Let's talk about it!

What's on your mind?

At the end of a life well lived, no one wishes they had worried more, worked more, or cared more about what people thought. They hold photographs.

"I'll wait until I lose the weight."

Your body carried them. Fed them. Held them at 3am when nothing else would do. It has never once asked to be thinner before it was worthy of being remembered.

The weight doesn't have a due date. Their childhood does.

"There are thousands of photos on my phone and I'm in maybe ten."

Out of thousands of moments lived, thousands of memories made, thousands of ordinary mornings and chaotic dinners and bedtime rituals, so much of your presence, sacrifice, and love is merely a memory. You were there; you were always there, but you always prioritized everyone else in the moments you picked up a camera.  It's your turn now.

How can I trust my photos are safe?

The world has changed. What we've been exposed to, what we've witnessed, what we now carry mentally and physically. It has shifted how many of us see the world, move through it, and decide who we let in. Add the uncertainty that AI has brought around our safety and the safety of our children, and trust doesn't come as easily as it once did. As a fiercely protective mother, I understand that completely.

That's why I've built real options for privacy and photo security so you can feel completely at ease before, during, and after your session. Your images, your family, your choice. Always. Let's get to know each other. Get your questions answered. Build the kind of trust that takes one more weight off those very heavy shoulders.

You deserve to feel safe here. And you will.

"I don't know how to pose.

I'll feel so awkward."

You won't be posing. You'll be holding your baby. You'll be chasing your kid across the grass. You'll be laughing at something that actually happened, not something I asked you to pretend.

I don't need you to perform. I need you to show up. The rest is mine to handle.

"Don't worry about me.

I always ruin the photos."

You are not ruining the pictures. You are the picture. This statement runs deep and affects everyone,

and no one wins. Photography is not about perfection unless that is your intent. It is completely what we make it! Ours to decide. Stop erasing yourself from memories and step in front of your camera and mine with intention and confidence. You may only live once; let's live like we don't give a darn and throw perfection out the window if that's what's binding our beauty.

The Power of Print

Your kids won't inherit a hard drive. Files get lost, phones get replaced, clouds need passwords and Ai security risks are changing dramatically. Many of us are pulling down our family photos from social media. But an album gets pulled off the shelf by little hands a hundred times, and a beautiful canvas lining the walls you walk every day quietly tells your children that they are loved and cared for. Images are powerful reminders.

One afternoon while I was cooking at my mother's house, my daughter, twenty months old, sat with her grandmother and one of our family albums. She turned the pages, found me, pressed her little hand to my face, and said: "Mama." My mother screamed with joy! "You're never going to believe this. She picked you out of the family photos, smiling and said Mama" The excitement was wild.

She sees photos and videos on my phone every day. But it was paper she reached for. My face she touched. And when I heard about it, my heart understood something before words could: these tangible memories are crucial.

That's why we love when our families choose Dear Mom collections built around something you and those little hands can hold.

Gift a Session 💛

Dear Mom Sessions are gifted all the time, by husbands, adult children, mom friends, sisters and grandparents who know she'd never book it for herself. Gift certificates are available for the session fee or any collection.

This year, don't just sign the card.

And can I just say, there's nothing I love more than giving back to mamas. If you're here because you've decided to honour a mom with a gift that shows her how much you care, I would love to be part of that. Some things to know about me: I love love. I love giving, and I live for a good surprise, and I have ideas to make this gift even more special.

So let's chat. Tell me all about this lovely mom, who she is, and why you want to give her moments that will last forever. We'll plan it together!
